Has an extensive experience in Intellectual Property Rights. During her career she was the Head of the Patent of Invention Government Office; Deputy Director of the Industrial Property Government Office and Head of Intellectual Property Department of Consortium Legal Costa Rica for nine years.
Has received international intellectual property training courses and seminaries at Switzerland, Hungary, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama.
Has given intellectual property training and educational speeches and lectures at the Universidad de Costa Rica UCR, Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Universidad La Salle, Universidad Estatal a Distancia UNED, CONAGEBIO, Cámara de Industrias de Costa Rica, Asociación de Abogados de Propiedad Intelectual and the Tribunal Registral Administrativo.
Has an extensive experience in Geographical Indications and Apellation of Origin. She was designeé by the European Union to protect 114 IG´s in Costa Rica and by the Consejo Regulador del Tequila to protect the first Apellation of Origin "Tequila". She also defended the IG´s of Parmigiano Regianno, Provolone Valpadana, Queso Manchego y Emmental de Savoie against oppositions of third parties.
She is in charge of the Intellectual Property Department of the Firm.

Her career in Intellectual Property started in Government, in the Register of Industrial Property where her biggest challenge was to develop a non existent Invention Patent Department and creating a team of different areas professionals to be in charge of the technical expert examinations of applications.
At Consortium - Costa Rica, her big initial challenge was to create a competitive and professional Department of Intellectual Property to provide services the firm own customer portfolio and to provide them consultancy services in all other areas of the firm.
